Away from the hustle-bustle on the streets, a step into the pre-primary section while being witness to the chitter-chatter of the little ones is a welcome change. An atmosphere as welcoming as their own home, teachers who love and care as their own family, an environment as safe as their own neighborhood is what Pre-primary is about. The transition from hesitant steps in the initial days in Nursery to confident and brisk ones, a couple of weeks later is a sight most relieving to parents and one of pride and happiness for the teachers. The 3 years from Nursery, through LKG and finally to UKG is an enlightening growth from self to an overall development, through the various competitions, activities, festivals, functions that are a part of the pre-primary education.
Pre primary education is crucial as it helps the students lay a solid foundation not only in their academic abilities but also in their social, physical and emotional development. At JPS we provide a warm and stimulating environment where the students not only learn but also love to learn. The Pre primary curriculum has been designed to nurture the small children and to develop their innate ingeniousness. Activity and game based learning has been incorporated in the curriculum to make learning fún and easy. The subjects that are taught for holistic development are English, Mathematics, EVS, General Science knowledge, Art and Craft, Rhymes, and Action Songs and Storytelling.
Co-curricular activities include Music, Dance and Field trips. JPS strongly believes in continuous assessment rather than periodical assessment with rote learning. Children are evaluated on a daily basis and his/her progress is closely monitored.
The Primary Division of JPS aims to ensure that every child learns through access to a broad and balanced curriculum which is adapted to challenge and support individual children. Classes IV & V
Two monthly tests and two terminal examinations are conducted in all the subjects during the academic year while encouragement is given to the thought mechanism and problem solving ability.
